Terilyn Taker
Hi!
I’m Terilyn Taker. My passion for healing and offering preventative medicine is deeply rooted in my past. Growing up watching my own parents struggle with illness, I realized that conventional medicine did not have all the answers. Almost completely absent was an emphasis on prevention and I came to recognize that complementary medicine and natural therapies can help to fill this void.
In addition to my studies at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I also attended and completed my training as a reflexologist with the Atlantic School of Reflexology. By using a variety of different treatment styles and complementary healing practices such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, classical five-element theory, reflexology, abdominal acupuncture, and biofield tuning, I will help guide your body back to a state of balance, by treating You, rather than your symptoms.
After graduating with honors, having acquired my Diploma of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I embarked on my mission to all corners of the province, to share my knowledge and help others overcome health challenges by breaking the patterns of illness that become ingrained in our bodies. I have been a lifelong student of plant medicine and I am currently enrolled in the East West School of planetary herbology based out of California.
I am happy to be a registered acupuncturist with the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia (ATCMANS). With compassion, humor, and expertise I empower my clients to understand that by embracing their health they themselves can prevent illness and achieve balance in their lives.
I look forward to having you join me on this path of discovery. Allow me to teach you some wonderful tools that you will carry with you forever. I am motivated by watching the change that occurs with my clients as they continue on their journey with me to balanced health.
